MY HOME SWEET HOME

                                                     MY HOME SWEET HOME

I was  born and grew up here in Bulanao. It's a beautiful place. People are nice and friendly. You can find so many establishments here that you can go to when you want to have more fun. Even if it's so hot and there are many vehicles on the road, it's still safe and healthy to live here in BULANAO, TABUK, CITY, KALINGA. I love our home, we have a very happy and friendly neighbors. We always help, support, protect each other. We even share our foods with each other.

Here in Bulnano, we can also witness the different kinds of culture in Kalinga. Some of these cultures were shown during the Ullalim Festival last February 14. All Municipalities showed their own different cultures, showcased their talents and promoted their native products. Kalinga maybe a small place but people here are so hospitable and helpful that you'll want to live here for the rest of your life.

ELECTION PERIOD

It’s almost election time here in the Philippines, a sure sign of that are the countless Television and Radio Commercials the candidates are bombarding us with. When you open the TV you’ll see a commercial of a certain politician doing good deeds, helping a community and promising good stuff. They are showing these things to us so that we would vote for them with a promise of good leadership. In the commercials they portray themselves as good and helpful people, ready to lend a helping hand to the poor. These politicians always say they will help the poor, provide foods for the hungry, etcetera. But are they really sincere? We don't know, only God knows if they are sincere and true to what they are saying.

A big part of our future lies on the hand of the politicians that will win this coming election, so we must be very careful in voting. We shoud wisely choose who to vote. Especially here in our Province, we should vote for the right people. We should not vote for someone just because he or she is our relative or 'kailyan', we should vote base on their capabilities as leaders.

Finally Found The One

To every girl out there, find a guy who you can love truly. A gentleman. Who you can forgive for anything. Who you can take shopping. Who you can cook with. Who you’d be proud to introduce to your parents. Who makes you laugh. Who picks you up and spins you around. Who tells you that you look beautiful no matter what you’re wearing, and means it. Who covers you and with a blanket when you fall asleep and then joins you under it. Who would travel to any country for you. Who loves you during your darkest hour. Who calls you cute. Who wants to spend the rest of his life with you. Who holds your hand when you’re scared. Who always hugs you and watches romantic comedies with you. Who holds your face when he kisses you. Who’s proud of you. Who you can tell all your secrets to. Who tells you that you smell like home. When you’re with him, the love, the magic, the passion, it just never dies out.
I’ve found him. We’ve been together for almost three years, and I hope that this happiness will continue until the rest of our lives.

WHAT'S MATTERS MOST

This is how i see the world: an icy fog that covers our eyes until one day you wake up and tell yourself about all the stupid embarrassing things you’ve done in front of people and you don't even know if they saw or heard what you did so you torture yourself worrying about what people will say about you the next day. But you know what? they probably didn't care or notice so stop thinking about it. They're humans too, just like you and me so stop thinking and worrying with what people think about you. In this world, what's matter is what you think of yourself. Because at the end of the day, nobody understands you the you understand yourself and nobody knows you better than yourself.

SLCB Foundation Day

Reinvigorating our Christian Faith, Rediscovering our Friendship with God”, this was the Theme of the Saint Louis College of Bulanao 45th Foundation Day. It started on January 31 and ended on February 2, 2013 at the School's area. This celebration started with a Eucharistic Celebration which was officiated by our own College President, Bishop Prudencio P. Andaya Jr. He talked about love and faith to God which we should always bear in mind to have a better relationship with our God. After the Eucharistic Celebration, everyone proceeded to the school's ground to witness the friendship game between the SLCB staffs and Saint William's Academy staffs. SLCB staffs won the said game.

In the afternoon of the 1st day, the friendship game between SLCB and International School of Asia and the Pacific (ISAP) resumed. And at 3:00PM, the Quiz Bee was held at the School's Library. The College of Education got the first place, followed by the College of Information and Computing Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Criminal Justice.

On the second day of the Foundation Day Celebration, a parade was done around Bulanao. During the parade, all students and teachers wore their complete uniforms. Just after the parade, a friendship game between SLCB personnel and the CARAA Team was held. SLCB team successfully won the game. In the afternoon, at 3:00PM, a variety show with the title “The Creed”, was held inside the gymnasium.

On the last day of the celebration, the field demonstration of students was held at the school ground. The said demo was participated by all students from the Elementary Department to College Department. All was at their best during the demo, every pupil/student was wearing their beautiful costumes and props and was performing enthusiastically. Right after the demonstration, the awards was announced.

The 3 days celebration went well. Every student, teacher and staff was able to enjoy. The 45th Foundation Day of SLCB was a huge success, and I'm looking forward to a more enjoyable and successful 46th Foundation Day of our beloved school.

Foundation Day

Foundation Day is a commemoration of the day the school was founded. It is the event that is related to tradition of the school that is celebrated every year. It is one of the most celebrated days in a school. What excites the students most during foundation days are the activities to be done during the celebration. In these activities, the different Departments compete with each other in different games and other contests. This is also to showcase the Intelligence(for the Quiz Bee) and talents (for sports competition and the dance and singing contest) of the students from the different Departments.

Saint Louis College of Bulanao School Hymn

I. Lets all sing a song gay and cheerful
Bursting fort from our young and joyous heart
For our life is so bright for we study right
We choose a smile for our part.

II. Here we are students of Saint Louis
That is why we are so proud
We always stand in defense for it
For it makes us brave and fit.

Chorus:
     Training our body and mind
That in this school we find
     Bright future smiles on us
     Lets be ready thus
We're the servers of our land
     Go ever hand in hand
     For God and countries sake
This is the pledge we make

(repeat stanza I & II)
